Pacific Airshow - AU
In 2023 we had the opportunity to travel with the Pacific Airshow team across the Pacific Ocean to execute their first show in the Gold Coast of Australia. This was a very similar deployment to the Huntington Beach show, with a few changes here and there.
Just like the Huntington Beach airshow, the Australia airshow showcases a full scope project including the following specifics. -
P.O.S (Point of Sale) - This event has multiple locations that offer the sale of food/bev, merch, along side ticket scanners at each gate. Utilizing various antennas we are able to "shoot" the internet across the beach to distribute internet where necessary.
Live Coverage - Back in 2021 Hulu provided media coverage for the entirety of the event. We supplied a dedicated internet uplink for Hulu to effectively stream the show with no service interruptions.
Backup Communications Network - Due to the high volume of attendees for this show, we had to anticipate cell coverage being impacted and create a way to have an emergency backup communication network in place. By utilizing VoIP phones and wicked fast internet speeds we were able to have a reliable way to communicate if our main communications network went down.
Production Network - Across the 3 days for this show there were many instances where the Operations team needed internet access to execute the show. Our favorite example of this was in 2023 when President Trump did a fly by in his jet while communicating to the attendees over a Zoom call that was supported by our network.
VIP WiFi - Offered in select locations, WiFi was available to attendees to use. Having the ability for attendees to have internet access allowed them to upload photos & videos of the show. Free press is the best press!
The Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is a great example of fine tuning a process and being able to replicate it in different environments. Utilizing the knowledge of the event organizers and the previous airshows in California, we were able to achieve the goals initially set forth during the pre-planning process of this event. Working along side the Australian teams allowed us to grow our knowledge base and bridge the gap from Americans to "down under".
